Snow Report - January 21, 2018

White flakes keep on falling as we rack up our snow base to 245 cm. In the last week we have gotten over 50 cm of fresh fluffy white stuff making your powder turns effortless! 

From mountain staff, to lodge staff, all of us here at Great Northern Snowcat Skiing have been working hard to make sure you have lots of great photos and stories of your personal powder heaven that will make your friends and family all envious of you.

And most importantly that we have put a smile on your face that lasts until the end of the day!!

Snow Report: January 15, 2018

Snowpack: 219 cm

This weeks snowfall: 65 cm

It just keeps dumping!! 

With 65cm over the last week, and snow still falling, skiing couldn’t be sweeter -Snorkels recommended! 

All this snow has opened many opportunities to put in, and create new roads to access unexplored areas of our terrain! With that, the picture perfect moments won’t stop coming! 

Snow Report: January 1, 2018

Snowpack: 200 cm

48 hour snowfall: 19 cm

The weeks snowfall: 45 cm

As we are wrapping up our first week of operation our guests couldn't be happier, between the bottomless pow and the newly renovated lodge we can't seem to wipe the smile off our faces out here! 

With nearly a two meter base up on the mountain, and clear sunny days for the rest of the week, it's left lots of time, and even more snow to continue expanding our road system for more untouched skiing! 

But why take my word for it? 

 With day skiing starting January 6th all of us here at Great Northern encourage you to come on out for a day and experience it for yourself!

Snow Report: December 22, 2017

Ahhhh yeah… the smell of ski wax is in the air, and the mountains have turned white again!  The best seasonal forecast in recent memory is delivering on its promise so far, loading us up with plenty of early season snow.  The arrival of the white stuff has us all fired up, and our off-season efforts keep inching us ever closer to winter!!  The lodge eagerly waits for our first guests to arrive, and we’ll be shoveling and road-building until their arrival!  Keep a close eye on the website for updates on the snow, meet our new staff, and check out a few favorite photos from the last few seasons.  That’s right, it’s a good time to be a skier, so next time someone tells you how much they miss summer, you can just smile………….  and start counting the days until you’re back on your skis!!!!!!   We hope everyone had a good summer and we look forward to skiing the deep powder with all of you this winter!!!

WOAH!! What an incredible come back we've had in the last 24 hours!! What seemed to be looking like a wet weekend ahead; has done a complete 180 and we’re headed back to our great terrain. With the freezing level down to 700 meters, and fresh 15cm of new snow we are back to making sweet powder turns!
