Sous Chef - Position available for the 2023 winter season.
Job description:
Chef will be responsible for top quality food preparation, cooking and presentation for approximately 20 guests plus kitchen management.
Prepare and cook full course meals
Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods
Plan menus
Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions
Work with minimal supervision
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Estimate food requirements and costs
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Manage kitchen operations
Job requirements:
FOOD SAFE certificate
Position requires prior kitchen experience
An enthusiastic, hospitality professional with a creative flare for menu planning and presentation
Must be flexible, energetic, friendly and have good customer service skills
Remote setting requires confidence and ability to innovative
Honesty and integrity, positive attitude
